WebI'd do open the gate, close the gate and butterflys as a warm-up and after you work out do some static stretches like pigeon, frog, straddle (half straddle if you're having a hard time), and that hip-flexor stretch where you go into a deep lunge and then go on your knee and grab your ankle (I don't know the name, hope that makes sense).
